How to Draw Stairs Step by Step
Step 1: Draw 2 straight lines, becoming closer at the top.
Step 2: Now draw parallel lines connecting 2 lines drawn in step 1.
Step 3: Double all the lines drawn in step 2, follow the image below for reference.
Step 4: Draw lines in between the blocks created in step 2, if any confusion follows the below image for reference.
Step 5: Now connect all the lines drawn from previous steps with help of zig zag lines or as shown in the image below.
Step 6: At this step erase all the extra lines and draw the bottom of staircase.
Step 7: In this final step, use the shading technique to give your stairs a dense and volumize the appearance of your ladder.
How to Draw 3d Stairs
If you are willing to draw 3d staircase, add few drawing tactic to popup our staircase and give it 3d look. All you need to draw its is pencil, paper, ruler and marker or black cketch pen. For adding optical illusion to your stair drawing follow the below instructions step by step.
Step 1: Start by drawing rectangles as shown in the image below, and draw a diagonal and horizontal line in between those rectangles.
Step 2: Repeat the process for this step also to and form few stair steps.
Step 3: To the right side of rectangle draw same steps as in step 1 and 2, only keep in mind to leave more upward space as moving to right.
Step 4: Outline the drawing with marker or sketchpen, then fill the blank area with black color.
Step 5: On the left side of your stairs draw few more set of rectangle and draw stair, follow the image given beow.
Step 6: Color the below blank side with black color and shade the thinner rectangles with pencil or sketch using hatching technique.
Step 8: Turn your page to 45 degree to the right and your illusion is ready.
As we said in starting, the lesson is very simple to follow and will render to realistic stairs. Only by drawing few straight lines your optically illusion 3d stairs are ready.
