This tutorial is about how to draw a Pyramid, a historical monument, for kids and novices. The pyramids of Egypt are world-famous located near the Nile River.
Many civilizations in the world as Mesopotamia, Egypt, Sudan, Nigeria, Greece, Spain, China have pyramids. Each has a different variety of pyramid but they cover a large area on the ground and become smaller on top as moving upward. Few pyramids are like steps, moving upward forming a triangular shape.
In this tutorial, there is a landscape of a pyramid and a pencil sketch of the pyramid step by step illustrated below. Take out your paper, pencil, and begin your Pyramid drawing. Also, see how to draw a beach, how to draw a mountain.
How to Draw a Pyramid Landscape
Step 1: Draw a simple triangle with all sides equal to form the front of the pyramid.
Step 2: For the 3d effect of the pyramid draw another triangle alongside the first one.
Step 3: Draw a circle partially hidden from the pyramid depicting the sun, add few random lines around it for the heat.
Step 4: Draw a straight line on the top of the pyramid, this will depict the layers.
Step 5: Keep drawing a few more horizontal lines all over the front part of the pyramid, after that draw vertical lines in between the horizontal lines.
Step 6: Draw diagonal and straight-line matching with the front part of the pyramid, draw the same brick pattern.
Step 7: Continue drawing horizontal and vertical lines till the end of the pyramid.
Step 8: On the back of the pyramid draw a horizon line going from the sun. Erase the bottom part of the sun to make it dip in the horizon refer to the below-given illustration.
Step 9: Draw clouds in the sky as we did in the image below.
Step 10: Color your drawing accordingly, use different shades of colors for it.
How to Draw a Pyramid
Step 1: Draw a triangle of irregular shape using a ruler. You can do it without a ruler too, as I always promote less use of tools. This structure will work as a base for your drawing.
Step 2: Draw a lateral surface for the pyramid by drawing another triangle with 2 simple lines.
Step 3: Pyramids are plastered and with time it collapsed, in this step, we will draw the remained pieces of the plaster. For this draw, an angled wavy line on the top of the pyramid and at the bottom also draw a horizon line.
Step 4: At this stage draw brick on the top of and in the rest of the areas draw the random straight textured lines. Refer to the image given for your reference.
Step 5: Drawing is complete up to this step but you can give more definition and volume to the pyramid, do this with the hatching method and shading. Also, keep in mind the horizon, finish it with sand and shadows of the drawing.
