How to draw an Ant
Step 1: To draw an outline for an ant start with a small oval and a curved line from the middle and move towards the left side.
Step 2: In the very next step draw another oval followed by a smaller circle and a large oval, these will work as the abdomen part.
Step 3: Once you have done draw 6 curved lines as guidelines for the legs, take reference from the picture given below. Mark another verticle line to find the center of the head.
Step 4: Complete the leg by drawing other parallel lines to the legs and divide them into small parts to depict the joints of the leg, turn the edges sharp and joint.
Step 5: At the back of the head draw 2 titled lines on both sides to give it a square shape also draw few lines in the thorax part.
Step 6: Draw ant abdomen using some lines, add lower part of legs which have many small joints, draw 2 round eyes, and guideline for the antenna in front of the mouth.

How to draw an ant for kids:
Step 1: To form the ant’s head draw an oval flattened at one end or similar to a triangle. Add two eyes on the 2 sides of the broader part of the head and a smiley curve in front.
Step 2: Draw another irregular oval and its first part is hidden at the back of the head and form the part of the ant’s thorax, or midsection.
Step 3: Draw one more oval overlapped section with the prior one.
Step 4: Draw a very small shape at back and then a big enclosed thorax at the end.
Step 5: Add stripes to the abdomen and form bands of curved lines.
Step 6: Draw legs overlapped with the thorax, legs are segmented thus use a number of curved lines. Draw first segment big and others long and thin.
